has the meaning set out in 1.6 Interpretation, Part 1 (Preliminary Provisions) of the Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004: in relation to 2 or more intersecting or meeting roadways, means that area contained within the prolongation or connection of the lateral boundary lines of each roadway; but if 2 roadways are separated only by a traffic island or by a median less than 10m wide, the roadways must be regarded as 1 roadway.
