CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES

means the use of land for activities undertaken for the purposes of maintaining, protecting and/or enhancing the natural and/or ecological values of a natural resource. It may include activities which assist to enhance the public’s appreciation and recreational enjoyment of the resource where that is consistent with maintaining, protecting or enhancing the natural and/or ecological values. Activities may include: species protection and conservation management work, including restoration and revegetation; pest and weed control; and educational activities.
